Do I need an email address to apply for positions at Craven?
Yes. Prospective employees must apply for positions posted on our website www.cravencc.edu through the JobCenter. You will need to have an email account established prior to applying for a position at the College. An applicant account, (requiring an email address), must be created through the JobCenter. Because of security protocols involved with many email programs, it is recommended that applicants not use yahoo .com email addresses when setting up their JobCenter accounts. By doing so, you may miss important messages sent to you through the JobCenter.
How do I search for and apply for open positions?
APPLY ONLINE @ www.cravencc.edu, select Employment at the bottom of the college web page (under About Us). That will take you to the Human Resources main page. Click on the picture for Prospective Employees, (or click Learn more beneath that picture). That will take you to the Prospective Employee Page. In the center of that page click on the red words “Job Center“. The link with redirect you to the JobCenter. In the center of the webpage you will see these headings:
Other (which includes Tutor, Lab Assistant, and Other-miscellaneous)
Under these headings are subheadings with the number of available positions posted.
Please note: Lab Assistant and Other–Miscellaneous are generic applications and do not pertain to any specific open position at the college. These application are used when prior arrangement and discussion has been made with the hiring manager to receive your application for an unadvertised part-time and/or temporary position.
Remember, you will need to have a JobCenter account before you can apply for any posted positions.
Applicants must submit all required documents requested in the online application process to be considered. Frequently those requirements will include a resume, letter of interest and unofficial transcripts. Unofficial Transcripts must state your degree and the award date.
Before a candidate is hired, a pre-employment criminal background investigation and employer/professional reference check will be conducted.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
