Craven Community College Foundation Hosting “Fall for Wine and Chocolate” Event
The Craven Community College Foundation is excited to bring the renowned chocolatier and pastry chef Sadruddin Abdullah to New Bern. With various appearances on The Food Network, Chef Abdullah is sure to please your palate with this feast of unique delicacies. He will share his handcrafted chocolates, especially created to pair with three wines. In addition, participants will indulge in his Mudslide cake and Bailey’s coffee, with Kronuts du jour.
“Fall for Wine and Chocolate” will be held at the New Bern Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 6 PM. Hors d’oeuvres will be served first, followed by the three chocolate and wine pairings and the other desserts.
The goal is to create a unique and innovative dessert experience that exceeds your expectations with every bite. Chef Abdullah has won two National Bread and Pastry Championships and taught for ten years at the esteemed Johnson & Wales University. He and his wife, Mahmuda, own Dessert Specialists in Charlotte. This inaugural event is sponsored by Hearne’s Fine Jewelry, Thornbury Brides and Envee Spa.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the Craven Community College Foundation. As a 501(c)(3), the Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial support to thousands of students through scholarships, as well as funding for new and emerging initiatives on the New Bern and Havelock campuses.
