HAVELOCK – Craven Community College (Craven CC) will host a Community Day on the Havelock campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21. This event is sponsored by the Havelock Campus Student Services department and is open to the public.
“Our Community Day and concert event is a great opportunity for us to say ‘thank you’ to our students, their families, friends, and others from the community,” said Sylvia King, director of student services for the Havelock campus. “It’s also an opportunity for Craven Community College and local businesses and organizations to showcase the services that are available in the community.”
The event will have free entertainment, including a performance by the local band “HootNany,” as well as Police, Fire and Rescue displays, face painting, children’s activities, Coastal Community Action Bus Tour, science demonstrations, an educational open house and free haircuts from the barbering program.
Academic advisors, financial aid advisors, and VA advisors will be available to answer general questions regarding services available at Craven CC’s Havelock campus. Students with a Craven CC student ID will qualify for giveaways as well.
Local food trucks will have food available for sale throughout the event.
