Craven County is still feeling the effects of Hurricane Florence. To help strengthen and rebuild our community, Craven Community College is utilizing emergency funds provided by the State of North Carolina to help cover educational expenses and tuition.
Eligibility for this fund requires a student to meet at least one of the following:
- Enrolled at Craven Community College as of Sept. 10, 2018
- Residing in Craven County (or another eligible county) as of Sept. 10, 2018
Other eligible counties include: Anson, Beaufort, Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Chatham, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Durham, Greene, Guilford, Harnett, Hoke, Hyde, Johnston, Jones, Lee, Lenoir, Moore, New Hanover, Onslow, Orange, Pamlico, Pender, Pitt, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Union, Wayne, Wilson.
Use of Funds
Examples of eligible programs include:
- University Transfer
- Truck Driving
- Aviation Systems Technology
- Law Enforcement
- Information Technology
Additional funds are available to qualifying students through scholarships that are supported through the Craven Community College Foundation.
