Student Username and Email Are Changing

As part of Craven’s ongoing Single Sign-On Project, we will be transitioning all student email accounts from Gmail to Office 365 and changing Usernames. Completing this phase of the project will put us another step closer to providing you with a single sign-on, Panther ID, for all of your academic needs, i.e., WebAdvisor, Moodle, Email, etc.

Panther ID. One Login. One Username. One Password. Coming Soon!

What Is Changing?

Usernames Are Changing

If your WebAdvisor username is firstName.lastName (with or without added numbers), your username will change on May 13, 2019. Your new Username will be your first name, middle initial (if applicable), and the last five digits of your Student ID Number.

If your Username is first name, middle initial and the last five digits of your student ID, your Username will not change.

For Example, John M Doe (Student ID # 123456):

If his current Username is john.doe, the Username will change to johnm23456.
If his current Username is johnm23456, the Username will not change.

This Username will be your Panther ID and beginning May 13, 2019, all users will be able to use their Panther ID to log into all of their Craven CC accounts, including WebAdvisor/Self-Service, Moodle, Email, etc. Learn more about Panther ID.

Student Email Accounts Are Changing

All Student Email Accounts will be transitioning from Gmail to Office 365 on May 13, 2019.

When will my student Gmail account be transitioned to Office 365 and when will I no longer have access to it?

We will be using a phased approach that will continue to allow existing students to access their Gmail accounts through December 20, 2019. Current students will begin using Office 365 as their official student email on May 13, 2019. Existing students will still have access to their Gmail account through December 20, 2019.

Will my student email address change?

Yes, student email addresses will change. All student email accounts will be based on the following format: PantherID@my.cravencc.edu.

No, but we will provide instructions for forwarding emails to Office 365.

No, but students will have access to apps in Office 365 that will help them move their Google Docs to the new location.

Office 365 includes an app called Microsoft Flow. Microsoft Flow will migrate all calendar entries over to an Office 365 calendar.
