The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is the primary change agent for organizational performance improvement projects. Their primary responsibility is to lead teams to improve organizational mission capability and financial results. Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is an intensive four week program in performance improvement concepts and tools focusing on process speed and variation. Four one-week training segments are each separated by four weeks back at your site where you can work on real world projects and apply the various concepts and tools. The training uses the MINITAB statistical software package for analyzing process data. The course also includes facilitation & technical assistance during the student’s Black Belt Project. The course follows the Department of the Navy Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge as guides.
Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt requires successful completion of the training course, a passing grade on the final examination, and submission of a detailed report of a successful performance improvement project validated by leadership/management of the organization.
