TEXTBOOK WITH EXAM CODE, ONLINE PROFILE, AND REGISTRATION MANDATORY. See below. ServSafe Manager Book, 7th Edition – with online exam voucher – updated with 2013 FDA Food Code (ES7).
Purchase Book With Online Exam Voucher
ServSafe Manager Book 7th Ed, English ES7 – Single copy, with online voucher
If you have not yet purchased the book, we have them available at the college book store at 252-638-7259. I recommend calling before arriving to check on availability and hours of operation. You may also find the book cheaper online. Just make sure you are buying the ServSafe Manager Book with Online Exam Voucher – 7th edition. This newer book contains the 2013 FDA Food Code. If you come to class and do not have the online exam voucher, you can purchase one online and use it immediately.
Purchase Online Voucher Only
ServSafe Mgr Certification Online Exam Voucher, SSONLINEX – Electronic Voucher
We have been asked if one book can be purchased for a small business and all employees study from one book. While that may be possible if you allow your employees enough time to study, it will not allow all employees to take the test online. EACH STUDENT must have their unique Online Exam Voucher. You can purchase this and have the code immediately emailed to you.
Please allow enough time for delivery of the book and yourself at least one week to read the book and prepare ahead of time. Buying the book the night before will not work and you may fail the exam. If you come to class and do not have the online access code, you will not be allowed to take the test at the end of the day.
Preparing for Class Day
I Can’t Read English Very Well
If you find that taking the exam in a different language will help you pass the test, we can accommodate that request with at least 2-weeks advanced notice. Online exams are available in English, Spanish, or Chinese. Note: For the Spanish-language and Chinese-language exams, the questions are in the respective language. However, the online navigation instructions are in English. We usually find it best to take the test in paper. Again, we require 2-weeks advanced notice for a paper exam in a foreign language.
Create Online Profile Before Class
Please be sure to read the entire book before class and do not lose the online access code that is inside your book.
You will not be able to take the test if you do not bring the access code voucher. Please visit this link, fill out all the information, and bring your user name and password to class – https://www.servsafe.com/ss/userprofile/createuserprofile.aspx
In order to make the online testing experience easier, we encourage you to create a ServSafe profile ahead of the class. To do this:
- Go to www.servsafe.com and “Create a New Account”
- Follow the screen prompts and click Save
- Be sure to write down your username and password and bring a valid ID in order to take an ANSI/CFP exam. Exam WILL NOT BE ADMINISTERED without a valid ID.
This is what you can expect in class.
You must bring your photo ID to class. The instructor will start at 9:00 a.m. Class will break for 10-minutes each hour and there will be a 45-minute to 1-hour break, depending on how far behind/ahead the instructor is. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments to class. If you have any questions prior to the class, please feel free to contact Jeff Schulze.
