Tuesdays in the Garden: Lecture & Discussions on Seasonal Garden Topics
Lead Coordinating Instructor: Jennifer Knight, Knight Cottage Farm
No experience required. Two hours of Q&A about seasonally current Landscape, Urban Homestead, Beekeeping, Permaculture and Integrated Pest Management. Join the team of local instructors representing Cooperative Extension, Beekeepers Associations, Crop Masters and Professionals in Landscape and Environmental Biology. Each three-month segment includes at least one field trip to an Urban Horticulture destination of interest. Special topic instruction and community gardening opportunities will also be available to students.
Mark and Jennifer Knight are the owners of a local landscape company and are Extension Master Gardeners specializing in urban homesteading and urban wildlife management. Mark and Jennifer volunteer and advocate for children, animals and reintroducing families to the dirt.
The Knights will be joined by Freda Pyron and John Wright. Freda Pyron, is a horticulturist for the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and past Horticultural director at Tryon Palace. She is a Journeyman beekeeper and also president of the Crystal Coast Beekeepers Association. John Wright is an Extension Master Gardener and retired Army Corps of Engineers biologist.

Define your space and capture the essence your life through design, in this six-week introduction to interior design course taught by Maggy Costandy, a graduate of East Carolina University with a major in Interior Design and owner of Maggy Costandy Interiors. Inc.
Maggy will offer points on understanding & optimizing the living spaces in your home; including the living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. This will include choosing fabrics, wall coverings, window treatments, hardware, lighting, furniture & its placement, and other details that help create your dream home. Landscaping
Landscaping Your Home – 6 weeks
Fee includes student insurance.
Instructors: Team of Master Gardeners & Tom Glasgow, Director Craven Extension Service
Whether you want to design your home’s landscape from the ground up or just tweak your existing landscape, this 6 week course will show you the way. A team of Craven Extension Service Master Gardeners, who have been educated according to the NC State University guidelines for sustainable horticulture practices, will prove inspiring for both beginner. Class instructors are experienced gardeners.
No Materials needed for the class. The last class will be a field trip to the Craven County Extension Demonstration Garden.
