Leadership and community involvement will take center stage in April during the 8th annual Community Fabric Awards. Hosted by Craven Community College, this prestigious event honors an individual, a business, and an educator for significant leadership and contributions to the local community and eastern North Carolina.
Funds raised through event sponsorships and tickets are used to support programs, equipment, facilities and new and emerging initiatives of Craven Community College, create awareness of and support for Craven Community College, and showcase students and their accomplishments. To date, the Community Fabric Awards events have netted more than $250,000 in support for the Foundation’s mission.
Nominations for 2018 are welcome and encouraged from the local community for all three awards (individual, business, and educator). Criteria and online nomination forms are available at www.cravencc.edu/foundation. Nominations open Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 and close at 5 p.m. on Feb. 19, 2018. Recipients are selected by anonymous and independent committees.
The Community Fabric Awards were created by the Craven Community College Foundation to celebrate and showcase exceptional leadership in the community.
