Department: Workforce Development Havelock Campus

Duties and Responsibilities of Student:

Support staff and faculty with daily tasks such as:

Office tasks

Customer service, answering telephones, filing, copying, organizing supply closet, refilling copier with paper and toner, operating copier and various other office equipment. Communicating information verbally, written and by email to staff, faculty and students appropriately and effectively.

Support Coordinator with tasks

Print and/or copy student materials for instruction, laminate documents, prepare classroom for training based on the needs of  the training modules, such as; furniture setup; name tents, clean tables, clean white boards, restock easel paper, restock temporary parking passes, restock dry erase markers, restock refreshment stations, setup or put away laptops, organize instructional resources in classroom, put away stock, organize and clean tools and various other instructional resources in the classrooms and labs along with various other duties the support Coordinator tasks to prepare for training sessions.

Job Qualifications:

Communication skills that will provide this individual with the ability to communicate information to and from customers, students, staff, and faculty effectively. Writing skills to take notes or send an email to communicate information effectively. Physical ability that allows this individual to lift, carry, push furniture, equipment, stock, supplies, and various other items that will need to be moved or transitioned from one place to another.
