Unmanned Aircraft Civilian Training

This course will prepare you for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) flight certification. Topics include:

  • Flight theory
  • Flight operations, including nighttime operations
  • Training utilizing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot - sUAS Study Guide

The course introduces commercial, government, and recreational drone applications and will highlight topics such as regulations, weather, airspace, human factors, nighttime flying considerations, and sUAS performance. Upon successful completion, you will be prepared to sit for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test.

The duration of this course is 36 hours spread over four days and includes four hours of hands-on training.

If you're a sworn law enforcement officer, first responder, or work in an emergency operations center, you may qualify for the fee-waived version of this class.
