Do you dream of running your own business? We’re here to help you succeed! At the Small Business Center (SBC), our mission is to host workshops and to help entrepreneurs like you. Our goal is to increase the success rate of start-ups and the number of viable small businesses in eastern North Carolina by providing high-quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing business owners. We offer confidential business counseling services and resource libraries.
All services and workshops are fully-funded and available at no or little cost.
The objective of the Small Business Center is to support the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses in Craven County by being a community-based provider of training, counseling and resource information.

- Small Business Workshops – Workshops are designed to prepare aspiring entrepreneurs for business ownership and to help current business owners sharpen their focus. Register for a workshop

- Small Business Resource Center (Office) – Provides free computer and internet access and a variety of small business resources, including specialized software and multimedia tools, along with small business books, magazines and government resources. Book office time >
The SBC at Craven CC is part of the Small Business Center Network (SBCN) and is among 58 centers located at community colleges throughout North Carolina (N.C.). The SBCN is part of the North Carolina Community College System. The college’s SBC has been previously recognized as a SBC of excellence for the eastern N.C. region.
