Congratulations Class of 2024!
The 57th Craven Community College Commencement will be celebrated on the New Bern campus on Friday, May 10 at 9 a.m. The ceremony will include all graduates, including students from the Havelock campus and the early colleges. There will be a reception for graduates and their guests outside Ward Hall immediately following the commencement ceremony.
Commencement Information for Students
Commencement will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 on the New Bern campus at 9 a.m. If you are a Graduate and have not received information about the upcoming commencement ceremony, please reach out to the Student Records/Registrar’s Office at 252-633-0196 or studentrecords@cravencc.edu.
You must be registered to attend the commencement ceremony. Please email Student Records if you have not received the invitation email or need to register.
Caps and gowns are available for purchase in the Campus Bookstore, located in Bate Hall on the New Bern campus. Continue following us on social media and check your student email for updates.
Rehearsal
Rehearsal will be held Thursday, May 9 on the New Bern campus lawn adjacent to Ward Hall. In case there is inclement weather, rehearsal will be held in Orringer Auditorium. Attendance is required. There will be a check-in table for attendance and information verification at the front entrance of Ward Hall. Graduates will assemble at the rear of Ward Hall between Kelso Hall for the lineup. We will start promptly at 9 a.m. and finish by 10:30 a.m.
Job Fair
Immediately following the rehearsal, graduates are invited to meet potential employers and discover career options at a Job Fair sponsored by Craven CC, NC Works, and local employers. The Job Fair is located in Ward Hall.
Live Stream
We will live stream the graduation ceremony on Friday, May 10, at 9 a.m. Direct links will be posted here when available. You can also to follow us on Facebook or subscribe on YouTube to receive notifications when the stream is live.
Parking
Craven CC Security will be directing all traffic to designated parking areas on the day of graduation. Due to expected high traffic, please plan to arrive early on graduation day.

To receive the latest updates, please make sure you are signed up for Rave alerts and follow us on social media. You can also call 252-638-7200 to hear a recorded announcement after 6 a.m. Friday, May 10.
Alcohol Policy
In accordance with college policy, alcoholic beverages are forbidden on college property. In addition, if any student is deemed to have consumed alcohol, or an illegal, controlled substance prior to the commencement ceremony, that student will not be permitted to participate.
