This class is a series of lessons that teach you how to use permanent ink pens and colored pencils to confidently complete an original, abstract, colorful project from beginning to end. You will learn free-form drawing techniques with technical pens and wax-based pencils. You’ll explore combinations of blending, burnishing, wet, and dry techniques, layering tones, roughening, scoring, fusion colors, and more. With step-by-step guidance and encouragement, your art will be ready for framing! Also, there will be an opportunity for group critique and an option for an on-campus public art display. Students should bring Black Sakura Pigma Micron Pens, sizes 01, 03, and 05 to class. Also, the following supply is recommended: Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencils purchased from Walmart or local craft store. All other supplies are provided by instructor for use during class.
