Graduation

Students who meet all requirements for a certificate, diploma, or degree are eligible to graduate. Credentials are awarded at the end of the term in which the requirements are completed and mailed to the student within 6 to 8 weeks after we have certified that all requirements have been completed. A graduation application is required to graduate.

Commencement

Graduates are invited to participate in a formal commencement ceremony held each May on the Craven Community College New Bern campus. This ceremony is open to all graduates from the current academic year.

• Registration is required to participate in the commencement ceremony.
   
• To be eligible, students must complete all coursework and graduation requirements by the summer of the graduation year and be within three courses of meeting graduation requirements.

Graduation applications will be accepted after the foregoing deadlines; however, there may be a delay in processing your application and mailing your credentials. In addition, if you wish to participate in the graduation ceremony, because of the planning involved, the College cannot guarantee your participation in the graduation ceremony if your application is received after March 15, 2027.
