Our Havelock campus is located right outside of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point. There are four buildings on this campus, including: the Redd Building, Institute of Aeronautical Technology, Havelock Public Library, and the STEM Center. The STEM Center is home to the NC State Mechanical Engineering program, which allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Systems directly from the Havelock campus.
Because of our close relationship with neighboring MCAS Cherry Point, many of the programs on our Havelock campus are geared toward aviation, including the Career Pilot Program and the Aviation Systems Technology program, where you can earn an FAA license in aviation maintenance and be eligible to transfer to Southern Illinois University to complete a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management—all without leaving Craven County.
We also have a presence aboard Cherry Point, with offices and classrooms located inside the Jerry Marvel Training and Education Building. This allows us to provide marines and their families easy access to college classes.
