Once you’ve met with your advisor and have your academic plan mapped out for the upcoming semester, you’re ready to register!

Still need to apply? Visit our How to Apply page.

How to Register

Advisors can register you for curriculum (degree, diploma) classes in person, or you can register on your own through the Self-Service portal

If you choose to register for classes on your own, here’s some helpful information to keep in mind:

  • You must have a Panther ID to log in to the Self-Service portal and register for classes. You are issued a Panther ID after you have applied, and been accepted as a student.
  • Use the Section Codes listing to assist you in determining which classes are offered in New Bern or Havelock, as well as which are distance education, day, night, or weekend classes.
  • Visit the Course Catalog to view plans of study, full course descriptions, and more.

Class Schedules

The most convenient and searchable method for viewing the Curriculum Schedule is through Self-Service. Not only does Self-Service allow you to register for classes, it helps you search for classes by term, subject, campus, instructor, and more. The Self-Service page also has a convenient “Help” button located in the top right corner that can help you search for the right class.

For added convenience, a full scrolling list of available classes can be viewed by semester.

Continuing Education (Short-Term/Certifications)

Our Workforce Development (WFD) department offers year-round continuing education certifications, including noncredit, short-term training for jobs and careers. You can find upcoming WFD class schedules and register online here.
