To become a licensed broker in the state of North Carolina, you must begin with this 75-hour North Carolina Broker Prelicensing Course that prepares you to protect and serve the public interest and sit for the state real estate license examination. The real estate licensing examination is required for ALL applicants. Strong emphasis is placed on real estate brokerage math, law, and practice.

Registration is due one week prior to start date. Payment is due within 3 business days of being registered.

The Post 301 – Broker Relationships and Responsibilities course is one of the three 30-instructional hour courses in the North Carolina mandatory postlicensing education program. The primary objective of the courses is to provide instruction at a level beyond that provided in prelicensing courses on topics deemed to be of special importance in the active practice of real estate brokerage.

Topics addressed in this course include:

Learn entry-level rehabilitation and therapy procedures including body systems so you can work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Internship hours will require daytime availability of 24 hours which may be approved for meeting the Craven Community College Physical Therapy Assistant admissions requirement. Course cost consists of tuition/insurance fees.

Expand your plumbing skills and opportunities in the workforce without going through an entire degree program with this short-term course. This hands-on Plumbing Level 3 course is available for students who have completed Levels 1 and 2.

The course is broken down into topics including: applied math, sizing water supply piping, potable water treatment, backflow preventers, types of venting, sizing DWV and storm systems, sewage pumps and sump pumps, corrosive-resistant waste piping, and compressed air.

If you’re looking to enter the workforce without going through an entire degree program, this short-term course is a great choice. It will introduce you to the knowledge and skills needed to enter and excel in the plumbing field.

Gain the credential needed to work as a Medication Aide in skilled nursing homes. This class will prepare you for the NC Medication Aide Registry exam. Nurse aide credentials will also be required to work in a skilled nursing home as a medication aide. This class is limited to 10 seats.

This short-term course will provide you with a detailed understanding of how to use the OSHA 1926 Construction standards and how they apply to the construction industry. The class includes a written exam with a certificate of completion awarded through OSHA. For less intensive training, you may prefer to take our OSHA 10-Hour Construction course.

This program will provide you with a basic understanding of how to use the OSHA 1910 General Industry standards and how the standards apply to general industry. The class includes a written exam with a Certificate of Completion awarded through OSHA. For more in-depth training, you may prefer to take our OSHA 30-Hour Construction course.

This program will provide you with a basic understanding of how to use the OSHA 1910 General Industry standards and how the standards apply to general industry. This 16-hour course meets the requirements of 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P – excavations for personnel required to work in or adjacent to man-made cavities, trenches, and man-made cuts in the earth, and is filled with skills that will boost your employability. You will receive training in specific excavation requirements, protective systems, soil classification, sloping and benching, timber shoring, and requirements for a competent person. During the class, you will conduct an excavation inspection and construct and install protective structures.

North Carolina Nurse Aide I employees may qualify for the Nurse Aide II credential by completing an approved program. This course provides advanced nursing skills for employment in hospitals, nursing homes, or home health agencies and are taught via class, lab and clinical/simulation. This is a hybrid course, meaning classes are held online and in person.

This is a 40-hour refresher course for Nurse Aides. This training is designed to provide skills that are essential to provide direct patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. Students must register and pay in person on the New Bern or Havelock campus.
