This training course can help you get started with a career in Construction and Worksite Safety or to enhance existing knowledge in safety on the construction worksite. This 110-hour course has four independent credentials that the industry is looking for: NCCER Field Safety, NCCER Safety Technology, OSHA 10-Hour Construction, and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry.

Our hands-on curriculum will teach you the customer service and technical skills needed to work as a professional bartender. Learn the skills and techniques on how to mix, pour, and serve popular drinks and cocktails, as well as customer service, bar setup, and other hospitality skill basics.
Upon completion, you will receive a Craven Community College bartender certification, as well as the Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Program (RASP) Certification from the ABC Board. You will also be ready to apply for jobs as a professional bartender.
Our Diesel Engines program will give you hands-on experience with diesel engines and systems in cars and trucks, heavy machinery, boats, generators, and more. It is held on our Volt Center campus.
The program will include training on topics including: shop safety, intro to diesel engines, principles of diesel engines, engine evaluations and disassembly, pistons, rings and connecting rods, cylinder heads, and components.

In our short-term classes, you will learn about ServSafe®, the most current and comprehensive food training program in the industry, helping five million food service professionals learn how to handle and safely serve food and alcohol. The ServSafe® training and exam meets all regulatory requirements and quality assurance specifications for hotel and restaurant brands.
This short-term class allows you to earn the certifications that enable you to purchase coolants for small appliances and refrigerant/cooling systems. The instructor will lead discussions and presentations of certification materials, including a pretest. The state examination, or online ESCO test, is administered during class.

The Craven Community College Paramedic program has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status; it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation.
This course is designed for those with expired or nearly expired credentials. This is a hybrid course consisting of online and on-site requirements. Students nearly expired will receive the hours to recertify. Those with expired certifications after completing this course will be eligible to take the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NCOEMS) certification exam.
Our Code Enforcement – Law & Administration course allows you to sit for any of the State Code Enforcement examinations.
