Offered for law enforcement professionals, this scenario-based training has been designed to create an innate understanding of the laws related to and the application of Use of Force principles. Attendees will receive training in the history, understanding, application, and documentation of use of force incidents through interactive learning demonstrations, case studies, and guest speaker presentations. Officers will leave the course with a level of confidence necessary to perform their duties in a manner that promotes trust in the communities they serve.

This course is open to and fee-waived for sworn or affiliated law enforcement officers. Students must bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with WiFi connectivity in order to complete required internet research. The course is taught by Master Instructor Chris Barajas of Prevailing Solutions, LLC.

Open to/fee waivered for sworn or affiliated law enforcement officers, this 24-hour course will: -Develop foundational understanding on the evolution of laws related to use of force incidents -Promote an officer’s confidence in their abilities to address any force incident competently, professionally, and with integrity -Reinforce an officer’s knowledge, understanding and education regarding force to maintain order in the community -Explain how to appropriately document the incident with complete, accurate and detailed information for the application of force used Students must bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with WiFi connectivity in order to complete required internet research.
