Walt Horton was born in 1949. He always had a way of making people smile, so it wasn't a surprise when he chose cartooning as his first career. Horton attended the University of Colorado, but his academic education did not prepare him for life as an artist. His artistic abilities came naturally and he developed an innate propensity to draw.
When Horton reached his mid-forties, he began sculpting. Several years later, Walt and his wife opened the Walt Horton Fine Art Gallery in Beaver Creek, CO. Their gallery features many fine artists, as well as Horton's bronze work. Visit his artist website here.
