William and Jeanne Magaw explained, "Sculpture is not a hobby: it is our life, our energy, and our inspiration. We live on a small farm in Indiana with farm animals and the nature that surrounds them. It breathes life into our work and dreams."

The couple opened their studio opened in 1970. Early in their art careers they worked in Central and South America, followed by projects in Russia and Eastern Europe. They also had the opportunity to work in many schools across the country, teaching children the concept of wind and kinetic energy, with a focus on representing energy in the garden.

Bill's first two major exhibitions ran simultaneously in the Richmond Art Museum and The Galleria Julianna, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. They worked and exhibited in museums and galleries across the US, South and Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and both Eastern and Western Europe. Bill and Jeanne Magaw are internationally known for their kinetic sculptures that have found their way into gardens, galleries and public places throughout the world.
