Never accepting the idea of limitation or restraint, Lee Stark's work is democratic and all-embracing in mediums and content. From traditional bronzes to plastics, concrete, bones, electrical conductors, kinetic motion, a turbine, and "Spin" paintings, the work of Lee Stark covers the endless endeavor of continual creative growth and artistic revolution. Moment to moment, with every step, he left skepticism and past experience behind and continued to evolve, never unsatisfied with a single form, style or idea. He maintained a strong sense of trust, courage, and artistic integrity to persistently experiment with the unknown.
Stark worked in any media that he thought would accomplish his specific goal. For the past ten years of his life, he has focused on modeling the human figure in clay, wax, and paper mache, to produce bronze sculpture. Lee’s sculptures can be found in private collections across the United States, Europe and Mexico. His work challenges the senses and captures the essence of the models he sculpts.
"I feel the most important thing in life is the search for the indescribable connection of our inner-self with the Universal Intelligence. I believe it's from this connection that art emerges," Lee affirmed. "Every day I feel an increasing amazement of the dance and unlimited potential in art as in life."
