Attendees will be oriented with a variety of topics involved with investigating a Sexual Assault/Child Abuse (SACA) case including: . The importance of investigating a SACA for the growth and development of the survivor/victim . How collaborative efforts of a multi-disciplinary team can promote a survivor/victim and potentially protect future survivors/victims . Why involving other professional entities progress a SACA case through the judicial system . What effects biases and pre-determined assumptions have on an investigation and the people involved . How SACA investigations cause long-term problems for investigators and effective stress management tools to overcome those problems This class was designed to address unspoken issues with investigating SACA cases. It will promote the confidence of the attendees and allow them to conduct more thorough and effective investigations. It will provide them the tools necessary to influence all who are involved in SACA investigations.
