"Charting Your Course" is a free five-week program for rising high school seniors and recent graduates still exploring their career options. It offers a variety of hands-on learning in trades, health sciences, and industrial careers while teaching essential skills such as resume writing and job interviews.

This program will provide students with:

  • Career-ready skills to enhance employability
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and various occupations
  • Local job opportunities

Upon successful completion, students will earn:

  • Two work-based college credits that can be used toward multiple programs (degree-granting or workforce credential)
  • OSHA workforce credential

The program will be held on Craven CC's New Bern, Havelock, and Volt Center campuses and will include activities in the classroom, on the industrial plant floor, and in our simulation labs.

  • Space is limited to 20 students
  • Snacks and lunch will be provided
  • Drop off and pickup at Craven CC New Bern campus
