This course will be offered by Cape Lookout Sail and Power Squadron, America's Boating Club. This course builds on the material presented in America's Boating Course with six in-depth seminars covering the skills you need to operate your boat (sail or power) with skill and confidence. There will be instruction covering the rules of the "road," docking and undocking, anchoring, emergencies on board, and knots/line handling.
If you are already a boater, this course will reinforce what you know and increase your boating knowledge and enjoyment. The course includes time on the water with your instructors to demonstrate and practice skills learned in the classroom. You will also receive a 200-page text covering all the course material in more detail, in addition to a certificate from the United States Power Squadron (USPS).
