Occupational Summary
The Senior Administrative Assistant- Career & Technical Programs performs a range of clerical, technical and administrative support duties in support of Career & Technical Programs. This position maintains current knowledge of appropriate college and departmental policies to ensure the efficiency of the department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service and assistance to internal and external customers through walk-in, telephone and email
- Provides administrative support to include preparation of memorandums, correspondence, minutes and reports
- Assists with Colleague updates to assigned course schedules as requested or assigned
- Assists with the payroll process and input requirements for department personnel to include adjuncts, overloads, stipends, etc.
- Assists with the maintenance and reporting requirements of the departmental budget
- Assists with the collection, analysis and reporting of data as assigned
- Monitors and conducts inventories pertaining to equipment and supplies and contacts appropriate individuals for equipment maintenance
- Performs requisition requests to order supplies and materials
- Assists with the preparation of travel requests, submissions and final settlements
- Participates in appropriate committees and task forces as assigned
- Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the College’s mission, core values and goals
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Office Systems Technology, Information Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
Two (2) years’ administrative work experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Intermediate knowledge of clerical processes and procedures and standard office procedures; practices and equipment
