Position Overview:
As an Automotive Technician at Trent Cadillac, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Cadillac vehicles to ensure their safety and performance. You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals and have access to the latest tools and technologies in the industry. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a passion for automotive technology, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair: Perform diagnostics and identify issues with vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and systems.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Repairs: Repair and replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, exhaust systems, and suspension parts.
- Customer Communication: Clearly communicate with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, needed repairs, and estimated costs.
- Quality Control: Ensure all repairs and services meet Cadillac's high-quality standards and customer expectations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and hours worked in the service department’s management system.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other technicians, service advisors, and parts departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety procedures and ensure that all work is done in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Experience working with luxury vehicles, specifically Cadillac or General Motors brands, is preferred but not required.
- Certifications: ASE certification is a plus. Cadillac and GM-specific certifications are also a benefit.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical information systems.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and computer systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to accurately diagnose problems and determine solutions in a timely manner.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 pounds) and work in a variety of physical conditions.
