Career & College Promise offers two unique pathways designed with different student goals in mind. When applying to Craven CC, you will need to specify which pathway you’re interested in.
Career-Technical Education Pathway
If you are a high school student in a career cluster program at your local school, this pathway will give you the opportunity to enroll in a Craven CC certificate program that aligns with your high school program. Please contact your high school and CCP counselor for more details on qualifications. Available certificates include, but are not limited to:
- Automotive
- Computer-Aided Drafting
- Criminal Justice
- Electronics Engineering Technology
- Health Information Technology
- Information Technology
- Machining Technology
- Medical Assisting
- Small Business Accounting
- Welding
College Transfer Pathway
If you are a high school junior or senior planning to attend a community college transfer program or a four-year college, this pathway will allow you to complete some of the core general education classes required during the first two years of a four-year degree. College transfer pathways include:
- Associate in Arts (AA)
- Associate in Arts - Teacher Prep (AATP)
- Associate in Engineering (AE)
- Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) - Visual Arts
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)
- Associate in Science (AS)
- Associate in Science - Teacher Prep (ASTP)
Career and College Ready Pathway
If you are a rising high school junior or senior undecided on pursuing a career or transferring to a four-year college, this pathway will allow you to explore career and college-preparatory coursework, facilitating a transition to college or the workforce.
