NCCER Carpentry Level 2

Course Code: CAR-NCCER2

If you’re looking to enter the construction and carpentry workforce without going through an entire degree program, this short-term course is a great choice. It is available to students who have completed NCCER Carpentry Level 1.

In this class, you’ll be introduced to carpentry and weatherization and will gain knowledge of building materials, construction drawings, floor systems, wall systems, basic stair layout, and ceiling joist and roof framing. You will also learn the fundamentals of weatherization and how it applies to the building envelope. You’ll start to apply what you learn in the classroom to the real world through hands-on collaborative construction of the homes being built for Craven County Habitat for Humanity and various other projects. When you complete the program, you’ll receive National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification in Level 2 Carpentry and the Fundamentals of Weatherization.
