Intro to Bellydance

Try out a fun and exotic way to get fit and feel fabulous all year! Intro to Bellydance uses basic bellydance movements that are aerobically oriented through sustained drills and a variety of dance combinations to help sculpt and tone your body. This multi-level class is great for newcomers to bellydance, or for the bellydancer who wants to keep up their stamina and technique.

This class is open to ages teen to adult, and all body types and dance levels are welcome! Students should wear comfortable clothing that allows movement, as well as something tied around the hips such as a hip scarf or coin belt.

About the Instructor

Kaitlyn Lewis is an international belly-dance performer and artist based in Eastern NC, specializing in Egyptian & Cabaret bellydance.

About the Community Enrichment Program

The Community Enrichment Program (CEP) at Craven Community College provides a diverse array of non-credit, short-term, and affordable courses. Classes are open to anyone who wants to keep learning while having fun! Topics offered are based on community input and range in skill levels from beginner to advanced. Classes can take place in one session or span several weeks. Please note: CEP classes cannot be used for credit toward any of our degree programs.

Students may receive a full refund if a CEP class is canceled by Craven CC prior to the start date, or the student withdraws from the class before the start date. Complete details about CEP refunds are available in the Workforce Development section of the academic catalog.
