Our Diesel Engines program will give you hands-on experience with diesel engines and systems in cars and trucks, heavy machinery, boats, generators, and more. It is held on our Volt Center campus.

The program will include training on topics including: shop safety, intro to diesel engines, principles of diesel engines, engine evaluations and disassembly, pistons, rings and connecting rods, cylinder heads, and components.

This course introduces the theory, design, terminology, and operating adjustments for diesel engines and systems. Emphasis is placed on safety, the theory of operation, inspection, measuring, and rebuilding of diesel engines and systems according to factory specifications. Upon completion, students should be able to measure, diagnose problems, and repair diesel engines and systems.
