Manufacturing Fast Track

Are you looking to change careers? Our Manufacturing Fast Track programs at the Volt Center offer flexible learning opportunities that can get you on the fast track to a new career in manufacturing and assembly with our manufacturing partners BSH Home Appliances Corporation, Dradura, Moen, and Wirthwein.

These local manufacturing powerhouses are looking for long-term, career-minded individuals to meet immediate openings for assembly, packing, production, material handling, and other areas of operations. This training will prepare you to interview with and work for our manufacturers.

Training topics in these programs include:

  • Assembly and packaging
  • Assembly line operations (practicals)
  • Intro to manufacturing
  • Resume development
  • Safety training
  • Working as a team
  • Workplace ethics

Assembly Training for BSH and Dradura

Our Manufacturing Fast Track programs at the Volt Center were developed in partnership with our manufacturing partners of Craven County, BSH Home Appliance Corporation, Dradura, Moen, and NCWorks, with specific training that industry leaders felt was most needed for individuals to be successful in manufacturing.

During the course of the program, our manufacturing partners and NCWorks will register and pre-qualify students for interviews.

This free 16-hour training will be as follows every week for the foreseeable future:

  • BSH: M/T from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Dradura: W/Th from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Inventory Management and Tugger Truck Training for Moen

Moen has immediate needs for qualified warehouse technicians, especially for inventory management and tugger truck operations. To qualify for those positions, individuals are encouraged to take this three-day training program on our Volt Center campus.

Warehouse Technician Training for BSH

BSH has immediate needs for qualified Warehouse Technicians, especially for Inventory Management and Tugger Truck operators. With that in mind, Craven Community College is offering a weekend and a day class to assist BSH in meeting their hiring needs for qualified operators.

Each class will require a four-hour tour of the BSH warehouse center to see the operations firsthand. This free 24-hour training will be as follows every week for the foreseeable future:

  • T/W/Th from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Manufacturing Training for Wirthwein

Get on the fast track to an interview in this three-day training! The course is designed to expose students to the plastics and composites manufacturing processes. Students will learn what skills are needed for a career in plastics/composites production, as well as what a typical workday looks like in the manufacturing process. Students will also learn how to write a resume, develop interviewing skills, and how to stand out among applicants. All students are guaranteed an interview with Wirthwein.
