Intro to Brewing

Designed for entry-level brewers with little or no experience, Intro to Brewing will provide you with an understanding of beer styles, brewing technologies, and hands-on experience in brewing and tasting beer in a safe environment. Each class is limited to 15 students.

The textbook “How to Brew: Everything You Need to Know to Brew Great Beer Every Time” is included in the cost of the class.

  • You must be 21 at time of registration
  • You must sign liability waiver release forms
  • You must be ready to have fun

  10. All-Grain Preparation Brewing
  11. Mashing
  12. Sampling Beer and Graduation

The course is design to teach students about the craft beer brewing industry. Course content may focus on 1) identifying beer flavors and styles and 2) understanding the brewing process and beer ingredients. Student will also gain a base knowledge of beer history and historical styles, retail beer storage and service issues, and beer pairing principles. Upon completion, students can sit for various national certifications in the brewing industry and food service safety.
