If you’re looking to expand your masonry skills without going through an entire degree program, this short-term course is a great choice. This hands-on Masonry Level 2 course is available for students who have completed Level 1.
This course will examine topics from Level 1, as well as residential plans and drawing interpretation, residential masonry, reinforced masonry, masonry openings and metalwork, advanced laying techniques, effects of climate and masonry, and construction inspection and quality control.
This course requires a minimum of 152.5 hours. When you complete the program, you’ll receive National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification for Masonry Level 2.

Topics include standard tools, materials, cost estimating, foundations, bonding variations, expansion joints, wall ties, building codes, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of safety practices, blueprint reading, and basic tool use; identify materials, operate machinery and lay masonry units.
