Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training teaches a set of proven methods and tools to help organization improve their capabilities to produce better products and services. It also enhances mission capability and/or financial performance.

Improvement team members and leaders will learn the essential skills needed for successful Kaizen and DMAIC projects. Not only will you learn the tools and techniques in the Constraints Management, Lean, and DMAIC methods, but you will also learn analytical skills, group dynamics, team building, and facilitation skills. A TOC/Lean simulation and “Statapult” simulation are used to enhance the learning experience. Data analysis is performed using Microsoft Excel and Excel interface software, QI Macros, or Minitab. The course also includes facilitation and technical assistance during the student’s Green Belt project.

The training follows the Department of the Navy and ASQ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge as a guide.

Skills You’ll Learn

The Lean Six Sigma program is focused on job-related skills in the following areas:

  • Demonstrating team leadership, understanding team dynamics, and assigning roles and responsibilities
  • Training with Minitab statistical software to analyze process data
  • Understanding how to become a primary change agent for organizational performance improvement projects
