If you’re looking to enter the workforce as a qualified welder without going through an entire degree program, this short-term course is a great choice. This combined course of Levels 1 and 2 will provide you with the basic skills needed to obtain entry-level employment.
Level 1 consists of training in: welding safety, oxy fuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, air carbon arc cutting, metal preparation, weld quality SMAW groove welds with backing, and open-root groove welds. Level 2 consists of training in: welding symbols, reading welding detail drawings, GMAW plate welding, and FCAW plate welding.
When you complete this 585-hour program, you’ll receive National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Level 1 certification for Welding Levels 1 and 2.
