Program Description
An Associate in Arts (AA) is an excellent degree choice for students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in one of the liberal arts. Areas of study under the AA degree span a wide range of academic interests. Typically, these areas include specific studies in the social sciences, humanities, communication, education, the arts, and criminal justice.
For degree completion, students are required to successfully complete 45 general education hours and 15 hours of elective credit. Craven Community College has also identified literature, history, health/physical education, and ACA as required courses. You may learn more about the program of study for the AA degree by reviewing the degree plan or by contacting a Liberal Arts & University Transfer Center Advisor.
