Craven CC chemistry instructor Don Carpenetti was recently named an Assistant Editor for the upcoming North Carolina Community College Journal of Teaching Innovation (NCCCJTI).

The Assistant Editor’s role includes: serve a three-year term that includes reviewing/editing two to four manuscripts per year throughout the production phase, support the recruitment of future editors, and encourage manuscript submissions.

The journal is published by the NCCCJTI Editorial Board, which is a group of faculty, staff, and researchers interested in innovative research and practice within North Carolina Community Colleges. This journal is to be produced annually as a repository of North Carolina Community College teaching innovation. Volume 1 Number 1 will launch in Spring 2022.

The aim of the proposed journal is to provide all North Carolina Community College faculty and staff with an outlet for publishing manuscripts of research and practice, as well as provide open access to readers of scholarships interested in higher education topics surrounding North Carolina Community Colleges.
