Erin will identify current and future prime and subcontracting opportunities (with a focus on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point; Department of Interior; National Park Service; US Department of Commerce; US Trade and Development Agency and NASA), notify companies statewide of these opportunities, and provide one-on-one assistance to help companies in her service area to bid on and win federal contracts.

Prior to joining the NCMBC, Erin worked in workforce development where she prepared requests for proposals, wrote grants, developed and implemented training, helped create strategic plans, provided business development, and produced career pathways to create pipelines of workers in response to local area business needs. Erin also worked as a Personal and Professional Development Advisor for the Transition Readiness Seminar aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, CA, and as a Military Academic Advisor in the community college and university settings.

“The business development team is the heart of the NCMBC,” said Scott Dorney, NCMBC Executive Director.  “While all of her business and military-related experience prepared her for this position, her experience in helping businesses creatively navigate workforce challenges will prove particularly valuable to clients in winning and executing contracts.”

Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from California State University, Northridge and her Master of Arts Degree in English from National University. She has also participated in leadership academies, business development seminars and courses, and industry based professional development.
