Trish the Crawfish!

Craven Community College Trish the Crawfish spoof logo

While redesigning our mascot logo, it seemed like we were looking at things through a fisheye lens. We decided to take a step back and view the problem from a freshwater perspective. In a pinch, our Marketing and Communications team came up with the idea to make a logo that would keep people crawling back to campus for years to come. We were reminded of the old adage that says something like “If you give a student a crawfish, they’ll eat for a day, but if you teach a student to catch crawfish, they’ll eat for a lifetime.” Once we came up with this concept, it was like shooting fish in a barrel! You’re probably thinking we’ve gone off the deep end, or that we have bigger fish to fry than creating this silly April Fool’s joke.

We like to have fun at Craven CC, and you can too! Test the waters this fall! Registration is happening now!
