Our Workforce Development (WFD) department provides hundreds of short-term training programs in a wide range of topics. You don't need to complete the college application process to take a WFD class. Scholarships and funding opportunities are available to most students. Public Safety students (fire, EMS, paramedic, law enforcement) may be eligible for 100% fee waivers after registering for classes. This class is a series of lessons that teach you how to use permanent ink pens and colored pencils to confidently complete an original, abstract, colorful project from beginning to end. You will learn free-form drawing techniques with technical pens and wax-based pencils. You’ll explore combinations of blending, burnishing, wet, and dry techniques, layering tones, roughening, scoring, fusion colors, and more. With step-by-step guidance and encouragement, your art will be ready for framing! Also, there will be an opportunity for group critique and an option for an on-campus public art display. Students should bring Black Sakura Pigma Micron Pens, sizes 01, 03, and 05 to class. Also, the following supply is recommended: Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencils purchased from Walmart or local craft store. All other supplies are provided by instructor for use during class.

This is a fun and interactive beginner Spanish language class which is immersive in nature. You will learn: - how to introduce yourself - how to give and ask for information - how to build sentences (like order food;as for prices, directions and assistance) - how to refer to family and friends - how to tell time, and refer to holidays - how to describe people and places In addition, you will learn how to communicate with Spanish speakers you will meet while traveling or in everyday life.
