The course is broken down into topics including: orientation to the electrical trade, electrical safety, introduction to electrical circuits, electrical theory, introduction to National Electrical Code, device boxes, hand bending, raceways and fittings, conductors and cables, basic electrical construction drawings, residential electrical services, and electrical test equipment.
This course is 185 hours and includes mandatory NCCER Core Curriculum of 72.5 hours. If you have a Core Certificate, you can begin this class after the Core Curriculum section. When you complete the program, you’ll receive National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification for Electrical Level 1.
