This course exposes students to the culinary arts and the associated job opportunities in the culinary arts. Topics include food preparation, front of the house, back of the house and what the different jobs daily duties entailed. Students will explore basic concepts, skills, and techniques involved in pasta making such as dough preparation, rolling and cutting techniques, hand-cutting and shaping methods, creating flavored doughs, preparing sauces, and learning how to cook and store pasta.
