Medial Assistant (Certified) to Nurse Aide I Bridge

Course Code: SEF-MANABR1

This course provides an accelerated pathway for currently certified Medical Assistants (MAs) that graduated from a CAAHEP-accredited program and wish to apply to Craven's Practical Nursing (PN) program. Recognizing that certified MAs have already learned many essential Nurse Aide I skills, this course focuses on the remaining competencies needed for PN program eligibility, allowing applicants to bypass the full Nurse Aide I program required of other applicants.

Successful completion of this course will earn the student a Bridge Completion Voucher that will be accepted as a substitution to the normal Nurse Aide I requirement. Classroom and lab sessions are held on the New Bern campus.
