Craven Community College provides general updates from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission that focus on topics such as real estate law, rules, and permit updates. Courses also include a Commission-approved elective that provides two courses for the price of one 8-hour session.
Commission Rule 58A.1702 dictates that every NC broker must take 8 hours of CE each year to maintain active license status (or to maintain eligibility for active status). The 8 hours must be comprised of a GENUP Update course and one Commission-approved elective.
The North Carolina Real Estate Commission does not approve, endorse, or certify any specialty designations in conjunction with course approval. NCREC only approves the course for CE credit. Students should check with the education provider regarding the accrediting body of any designation.
