It is not a question of “if”, but rather “when” challenging events will result in temporary episodes of distress and crisis. Sometimes the storms of life are literal, sometimes figurative. Regardless, having trusted and reliable support can help bring light to the darkest of moments.
Explore the helpful resources on our Campus, in our Community, and our latest Ulifeline.org partnership (Get Help Now), linking students to National groups and organizations. Craven’s Counseling Program is here to add additional layers of support services to assist our CravenCC Family in becoming their best self academically, vocationally and in life.
We are here to help you “Overcome Obstacles – Promote Possibilities”, after all, it’s the CravenCC Counseling way!
As a student of Craven Community College, all information shared with our Counselors will be kept confidential. Only with your written consent will information be released to anyone outside of CCC’s Counseling Department, except as required by law. Legal exceptions include the following:
- clear and imminent danger to yourself or others
- a court order
Counseling notes do not become part of a student’s educational or medical records. While one of our counselors may consult with a supervisor or with one another within the department, all members are ethically and legally bound to treat that information confidentially.
