Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Course Code: MFG-LEANSSB

Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is an intensive four-week program in performance improvement concepts and tools focusing on process speed and variation. Four one-week training segments are each separated by four weeks back at your site, where you can work on real-world projects and apply the various concepts and tools.

The training uses the Minitab statistical software package for analyzing process data. The course also includes facilitation and technical assistance during the student’s Black Belt project. Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt requires successful completion of the training course, a passing grade on the final examination, and submission of a detailed report of a successful performance improvement project validated by leadership/management of the organization.

The course follows the Department of the Navy Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge as guides.

Questions others are asking.

We offer several credentials that provide the flexibility you need. Most degree programs last two years and provide the most in-depth study of a particular subject. Diplomas and certificates take less time and are often taken in conjunction with other degree programs. Specialized training is also available for workforce development programs that are completed in less than a year.
