Ever wish you could change your dog's behavior? Need help with your dog but are too embarrassed to go to an obedience class? Wish you had someone to call for advice?

Wish no more! In this workshop, you'll learn how you can help your dog be happier and better behaved. Registrants will receive instruction and exercises to use at home with their dogs.

For beginning oil painters, emphasis will be placed on how to start a painting, work with oil paints and brushes, and achieve your desired results. For oil painters who have progressed, the emphasis will be on further developing your abilities to use oil paint to create original works of art. Each class will begin with a brief demonstration such as using additives in oil paint for effects, understanding why there are so many types of brushes, proportioning image references to use in paintings, and framing do's and don'ts.

Our Conversational Spanish class will help you learn to pronounce Spanish words correctly, with emphasis on vowels and certain troublesome consonants for English speakers. The course will address common tag questions and answers, learning kernel sentences with multiple interchangeable suffixes, and vocabulary building of essential nouns, adjectives, and verbs. There will be repetitions and drills of key phrases, as well as the opportunity to learn easy songs in Spanish as a means of increasing Spanish vocabulary.

Take a swing at a new hobby with Introduction to Tennis! This class is for beginners and will teach you the following skills so you're ready to play:

  • Tennis strokes
  • Strategies
  • Etiquette
  • Rules

It will be held at the Harbour Town Racquet Club, located at 3 Marina Drive in River Bend.

Expand your welding skills and join the workforce without going through an entire degree program with this short-term course. It will introduce you to the knowledge and skills needed to enter and excel in the welding field.

This 8-hour basic handgun training takes in our state-of-the-art law enforcement training simulator, located on our Volt Center campus. Training objectives include:

  • Identifying parts of handguns
  • Safe handling to include loading, unloading, storing, and firing a handgun
  • Marksmanship fundamentals through classroom and practical exercises in the simulator

All equipment/materials are provided. Please do not bring firearms or ammunition.

This course is designed to focus on new and emerging issues related to documenting incidents within law enforcement.

Many types of industrial equipment rely on pumps to operate correctly and consistently. Students in the Pumps Troubleshooting class will learn how to identify and isolate faulty components, such as lines or hoses in a pumping system, using schematics or blueprint drawings.

This course has no prerequisites. 
 

Pumps play a critical role in many industrial settings. Expand your knowledge of pump installation and maintenance with an introduction to the operation and maintenance of hydraulic and centrifugal pumping systems. The course is geared toward maintenance technicians with responsibility for pump specification, installation, and operating efficiency at their facility.

Expand your skillset in the manufacturing field by learning how to identify and isolate problems related to pneumatics equipment. Subjects discussed in this program include faulty components, lines or hoses in a pumping system, and using schematics or blueprint drawings.

This course has no prerequisites. 

Learn how work, force, and energy are applied to the basic principles of pneumatics. This program covers primary and secondary air treatment as it relates to operating principles of reciprocating, positive displacement, rotary, and dynamic air compressors. Subject matter will also include introductions to valves, logic devices, cylinders, and air motors  

This course has no prerequisites. 

Expand your skillset in manufacturing and heavy equipment by learning how to diagnose and solve specific problems related to hydraulics systems. This class will introduce you to troubleshooting techniques on hydraulics systems and how to logically and systematically isolate faults and failures.

Students will use maintenance manuals and troubleshooting techniques to discover faulty components in the hydraulic system. This course has no prerequisites.
