Welcome to the Liberal Arts & University Transfer (LAUT) programming! Craven Community College’s transfer degree pathways are designed for students who wish to earn an Associate’s degree and transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree.
LAUT degree pathways are designed to transfer seamlessly to public North Carolina universities and colleges. Under the guidelines of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement, students who complete an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) are guaranteed admission into one of the 16 University of North Carolina institutions. In a similar manner, the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement guarantees AA and AS completers admission into one of 24 independent colleges. Students who complete an Associate in Engineering or Associate in Fine Arts (Music or Visual Arts) will be well-prepared to enter these programs at colleges and universities within North Carolina.
Craven Community College is authorized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, (SACSCOC) as a degree granting institution. Upon graduation, students will not only be eligible but also able to transfer and apply all of their credits directly into a bachelor’s degree program after acceptance into one of Craven’s many partner colleges and universities.
LAUT staff along with the advising team welcome the opportunity to assist you in achieving your educational goals, so do not hesitate to contact our office with any questions about how we might help you along your academic journey!
